Coca-Cola Has Recalled More Than 13,000 Cases of Product
#2

The Coca-Cola company has initiated a recall on over 13,000 cases of Minute Maid Zero Sugar Lemonade due to a labeling error. The FDA announced the recall on September 10, 2024, and has since upgraded the risk level exactly one month later. The FDA defines a Class II recall as “a situation in which use of or exposure to a violative product may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences."

The unfortunate mislabeling has affected potentially thousands of 12-pack cases of Minute Maid Zero Sugar Lemonade, which were shipped to retailers containing regular old Minute Maid Lemonade with sugar inside. Consumers may have purchased a carton labeled “Zero Sugar” and gotten home to an extra sweet, yet rude awakening.
