So did China stock investors have a bad year?
Did Alibaba stock holders have another bad year jn 2024?
Given China economy has alot of bad news...

The facts below.

Alibaba rose steadily in 2024 for a YTD gain of 16%...it was up 
62% at some point jn Oct 2024 from the start of 2024.

While 16% is nothjng tk shout about given spectacular performance elsewhere. It is actually good.

Why then are so Alibaba shareholders so down cast.
It is because many bought above $150 and are siitting on losses.

If you had bought in the beginning of the year of bargain hinted in any one of the many selloffs in 2024 you would have done quite well.

So is the HSI and A50 doing badly this year? They have high volatility but rose steadily through the whole of 2024
