MELAKA - A 66-yr-old S'porean, Ms Lamrah Asid Ali is identified as passenger on a M'sian tour bus who was killed in a tragic 6-vehicle crash on the North-South Expressway in Ayer Keroh. Alor Gajah Police Superintendent Ashari Abu Samah said a female bus passenger died at the scene of accident claimed lives of six other victims. A S'pore’s Foreign Affairs officer told ST, ministry has been providing consular assistance support to affected S'porean & the family of Ms Lamrah through S'pore High Commission in Kuala Lumpur & Consulate-General in Johor Bahru.

7 killed, including toddler & S’porean woman, in collision involving tour bus, trailer & MPV in M’sia. 7 dead & 33 injured in crash involving tour bus, trailer & MPV on M'sia Expressway, collision involving 3-vehicles on northbound lane of North-South Expressway (PLUS) in M'sia on Monday.

Melaka Fire Rescue Dept director Mohd Pisar Aziz said accident occurred about 8.40pm near Ayer Keroh Rest Service Area (R&R). Crash involved tour bus with 27 passengers, a trailer & a Toyota Estima multi-purpose vehicle (MPV), they
are 7 fatalities, 3 men, 3 women, and a child.

Accident may have been triggered by dislodged tyre. Among the victims were five people in the Toyota Estima, including two adult men, two adult women, and a toddler. MPV had 8 passengers, was completely crushed between the tour bus and the trailer.
