United States (US) citizens are flocking to delete their Facebook , Instagram and Threads accounts following the announcement of a new policy by Meta (Facebook's parent company). The policy will stop the US's fact-checking program to combat hoaxes on Meta platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and Threads. 

In addition, Meta will also allow post types with more varied issues, including recommendations for political content. This policy immediately made US citizens want to delete their accounts affiliated with Meta.
