Singapore's Budget approach, viewed by some as conservative, now a 'lifeline' for the future: Tharman.

President Tharman Shanmugaratnam on Wednesday (Mar 19) approved the government's spending plans for the coming financial year.

In a Facebook post on Wednesday (Mar 19), Mr Tharman warned that Singapore must never lose its habit of "looking far ahead". (Mean planning ahead...) 


"So even as we deal with today’s problems like the cost of living, we also protect ourselves against future problems – and build opportunities for Singaporeans to do well, come what may," he said.
