Pavutyna Operation: How Many Tu-95MS and Tu-22M3 Destroyed at Belaya and Olenya Airbases (Updating)

On June 1, 2025, Ukraine’s Security Service (SSU) carried out a large-scale special operation — codenamed Pavutyna (Web) — targeting Russian strategic aviation assets. According to preliminary reports, six aircraft were destroyed. The operation targeted multiple airbases of the Russian Aerospace Forces: Belaya, Ivanovo, Ukrainka, Olenya, and Dyagilevo. So far, evidence has emerged confirming strikes on the Belaya and Olenya airfields. Initial assessments indicate that two Tu-22M3 bombers, three Tu-95MS strategic bombers, and one An-12 transport aircraft were destroyed. Belaya Air Base.
