Russian losses in Ukraine hit 1 million, while Putin's war economy heads toward breaking point.

Germany to supply new Iris-T air defense systems to Ukraine, rules out Taurus missiles Germany will deliver new IRIS-T air defense systems to Ukraine under a 3-year supply plan. 

President Volodymyr Zelensky said during a joint press conference with German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius, Berlin has no plans to provide Taurus long-range missiles. But announcement comes amid escalating Russian aerial assaults, including a June 10 missile & drone strike on Kyiv by Russia, one largest since start of full-scale invasion. "Ukraine are grateful for supply of IRIS-T air defense systems," Zelensky said on June 12. "We deliveries are currently being planned... for next 3 years, a very important assistance." IRIS-T is a German-made medium-range surface-to-air missile system capable of intercepting drones, aircraft, & cruise missiles. First being delivered to Ukraine in late 2022, at core of country's transition to Western-made high-end air defense systems. Pistorius confirmed saying delivery timeline can firmly ruled adding that a possibility of sending Taurus missiles is not on the table.
