The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) on Wednesday (June 18) said its fighter jets targeted a key uranium enrichment facility & multiple missile manufacturing sites in Tehran in overnight strikes. IDF said strikes were meant to disrupt Iran’s “nuclear weapons programme”. “As part of the broader effort to damage Iran’s nuclear weapons program, a centrifuge production facility in Tehran was targeted facility was designed to help the regime expand scope speed of uranium enrichment for nuclear weapons development,” IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said Wednesday. “It’s important to emphasise civilian nuclear programs do not require enrichment at such levels,” said the statement.
