Saw a man spent $100+ to catch the Winnie the Pooh. He basically has no technics and the machine seems to be no 100% grip at all. 

I’ve have make use of another toy to act as a base to drag mine into the chute.

This is why I feel suspicious come these Claw machine. If you managed to grip the thing but " weird it like will jerk a bit usually will drop the stuffs backward not in front " I guess you use other toy act as base thus that one you want to grip drop , hit the toy as base and thus drop into the chute.
