Actually, this is the part that I have some doubts. Pay really that high? Or include shares? Note that pay is not shown in the spreadsheet.

One other thing I noticed is that many of those with degrees from American universities have Chinese names (note that the American, Chinese, Israeli, French, Brazilian etc in the spreadsheet is not nationality but which country they get their degrees from).

US IT sector is very depend on foreigners. It was even higher till D T start to reverse. 
There are pros and cons to  all thing, especially the ratio is so high.
