Just thought I gave my view on what I have heard over here.
Taiwan is not important to America at all, what the American advised to the Taiwanese administration was that should China attacked into Taiwan. First thing that the Taiwanese administration need to do is to blow up and destroy TSMC.
And they will not come to defend Taiwan but to sell them more weapon.
That’s the situation with Taiwan and US relations.
So for those who still “believe” that the Americans will come to the rescue, go think twice. LKY has many times said that we need to defend on our own, never rely on others help.
And judging from the defend state that Taiwan has, with their people getting conscript. Better think twice with them only serving for 4 months so how much are these people prepared to defend the island?
