The U.S. National Debt is Now Over $30 trillion
#3

Must know what is National Debt.  The absolute value in USD means nothing.  Must measure in terms of Debt to GDP ratio;  then again what is the debt for.   For business & investment (money makes money).  debt is a good thing;  for gambling or other things &  homeownership(in recession),  debt is a bad thing for example.

The US has a debt to GDP ratio of 133%, Japan:  257%,  China 69%.  Does it mean US is worst off than China? and Japan is much worse than US and China?

Likewise,  Singapore,  it has a Debt to GDP ratio of 138%.   Malaysia : 71%.  Does it mean Singapore is not better than Malaysia?   What about Parkistan and France and other example?
