These include a Chinese military response, which could lead the United States into an indirect conflict with nuclear-armed Russia and China at the same time. If you think that America's European allies, who are in a life-or-death battle with Russia over Ukraine, will help once this unnecessary visit leads to a conflict with China over Taiwan, you are seriously misreading the world.

Now the main target of international relations is Ukraine, Biden and his national security adviser Jack. Sullivan's efforts to negotiate with Beijing to refrain from military aid to Russia is especially critical now. Biden also personally asked China not to provide military assistance to Russia. There are many signs that China has made commitments, and Russia has indeed suffered heavy losses. Then why did the Speaker of the House of Representatives visit Taiwan at this time to deliberately provoke China?

The best way is to arm Taiwan into what military analysts call a "porcupine," while doing as little as possible without angering China into thinking it has to act now. Anything other than this balanced approach would be horribly wrong, with huge and unpredictable consequences.
