But in the real world old age puts you in disadvantage over young energetic candidates

World is not perfect but USA has a more inspirational system for mid career people than Singapore.
USA can proudly tells the world that their system rejects ageism and value capability over age.

In Singapore, all of us admit that ageism is common in our govt and employers.
