I saw many of these during the 90s. The local managers hired many foreigners and then started retrenching or terminating local Engineers. Few years later, the local managers were also eliminated. That is why during that period you can see many local engineers turned taxi drivers.

singaporeans just dont want to help one another
just want to pwn one another for short term gains
but end up long term irreversible losses like what we see now in the job market and opportunities flowing outwards to foreigners
