When you're old, you don't need a big house. 
You need to be near your love ones. 
Best is at a place you're familiar with. 
Like the culture, the language spoken, 
the food.

I think the concept is 2 parts when you retire at 60+ or maybe younger you can take care of yourself. You find a place that is cheap and pleasant to retire...Malaysia. 

After you reach 75 and above you come back because you need more care and  medical support.
