Sinkies never learn their lessons. During GE 2011, voters showed their displeasure due to too many FTs by voting even a few of their ministers out. 

Thereafter, the PAP-Gov got scared and if one could recall, reduced FTs significantly. Former minister George Yeo also told PAP to wake up and be more humble to listen more to commoner's problems and get in touch with the ground. 


But this awakening lasts only for a few years...til 2015 when they received overwhelmingly high votes due to LKY passing, this emboldened them to do whatever they want. In this regard, LKY's passing is thus a huge curse for Singapore.

Later when PAP ran out of ideas, they took the easiest way out to activate Population Ponzi using FTs again to flood the whole tiny island, this time worse by bringing in massive number of CECAs, whose shitty (literally) culture and behaviour can qualify them the title of most toxic humans on earth like an invasive species. 

One can imagine what will happen when you introduce a snakehead fish into a small pond full of guppies, koi and tilapias.

The rest is history.

Bringing in CECAs is already a terrible blow to the common Sinkie man and woman.

The Pappies deliberately muzzle any and all criticism of CECAs and even India as a country as evidenced by the deletion of any CECA related threads or postings in govt mouthpieces such as EDMW.  NO OTHER COUNTRY has such protection.  Even the Pappies themselves can be criticised online but not CECAs.  This tells me that CECAland is puling the strings of the Pappies behind the scenes and eventually overtly.
