TikTok is far from harmless. It corrupts entire societies, makes degenerates out of younger generations, and is the most powerful arm of CCP psyops in Western society. 

There's a reason why the CCP does not allow TikTok to operate within the PRC. They have Douyin, and the content on there + the algos are extremely different than what TikTok peddles worldwide outside of China. 

This nonsense article about online gaming chats being spy risks is just bandwagoning on the issue. The fundamental thing here is internet anonymity and encryption. Leaks like this disseminating on online game chats are extremely rare. Worry about this, better to worry about Tor or Telegram etc.
