I will never go take such unnecessary risk like cable cars. Took cable car only once in the Blue Mountain of Australia. No choice because that Aussie friend took me for a tour and I feel paiseh to turn down his cable car offer. .....

I took cable car in HK to the Da Yu Mountain to see the big Buddha on top was smooth and stable with nice sea view from the top.

However the cable car to top of the mountain in Sapa was a big shaky…later I found out the cable car was installed by an Austrian company and felt better. You are literally above the cloud and it was foggy on top, visibility was poor and got a few temples, got a nice cafe as well.
