I suspect the workers have complained to the camp boss or dorm management many times about hygiene of food and health matters but nothing done. On that day may be the workers lost patience already and insisted they see the boss to settle the the issues they have brought up so many times and somehow temper flies. So the Dorm management called the police and said they had a riot in Tukang dorm. So SPF quickly rush the riot police and armoured cars there. Tanks were probably put on standby to roll in as well. That's how it happened I guess........

Food and infected workers are under the care of Semcorp Marine, not the dorm management.
Because dorm management did not apologise, only Semcorp Marine apologised.
