"Washington Post": The US knew about plans to attack Nord Stream
#1

U.S. intelligence agencies had information about Ukraine's planned attack on the Nord Stream gas pipeline three months before it happened in September 2022, the Washington Post reported on Tuesday, citing classified documents posted online. The White House declined to comment on the matter.

The newspaper writes that the attack was originally planned during NATO's BALTOPS maneuvers in the Baltic Sea in July 2022, but for unknown reasons the plan was put on hold . Intelligence officials told the Washington Post that they could not confirm the source's information, but the document was released to Germany and other countries last June.

US National Security Council spokesman John Kirby declined to comment on the case . “ I will certainly not engage in discussions of intelligence matters from this podium, either for this particular case or for others. And I'm certainly not going to talk about information that, as the Washington Post even reported, has not been confirmed by US intelligence services, " a White House official said during a press briefing.
