We see such biases in many consumers, for eg still buying from FP when mom and pop shops sell certain things like body shampoo much more cheaply, sticking to iPhone for 4 times the price of an Android phone which does the same thing, deceiving themselves that only the traffic lights Telcos can deliver good products and services, that only brick and mortar shops sell good things and online sellers sell fake or inferior products...
It leads to resistance to change. and is a sign of weakness.
