Fifty-five Chinese sailors are believed to have died after their nuclear submarine fell into its own trap designed to disable British submarines in the Yellow Sea.

The report goes on to say that it took six hours to repair the systems and resurface the ship, which was too long to save anyone.

The sinking occurred off the coast of China's Shandong province.
