Hamas triggered the war by their brutal massaccres of 260 music goers and launching of 5,000 rockets into Israel.  In return Israel hit back with similar rockets bombardment on Hamas targets. The larger casualties on Gaza sides is because they don't have the Iron Dome to ward off the rockets. In prolong war casualties will continue to rise.

What cause the trigger? Is it a one off stuff? Obviously it must be years of pent up frustration and anger that slowly built up until it explode isn't it? What cause those emotions if not triggered by Israeli in the first place?
