It’s not that many Taiwanese failed to realise that the American will not come to help. It is many Taiwanese were fooled to believe the American will come to help.  

With the current administration having controlled over all the media in Taiwan. Many people only get to see what the administration has said, where the opposition’s voice were unheard of. Doesn’t this sound familiar. 

The interview made with President Tsai recently was scripted. When a recent released photo from the President office, show Tsai was sitting opposite of the CNN TV host with a monitor screen clearly with scripts was placed behind the host. This picture was immediately taken down from the Facebook when they realised that they have shown too much…

So basically shows that President Tsai need to say what the American administration wants her to say. And many Taiwanese bought into it, until that mentioned photo get released….
