imho that was a test balloon to gauge public sentiment.
ministers (no job)risk earning >2m a yr still not enough
lame reason of not increasing their pay for >5 yrs is never a gd enough reason for this action given they 4g caused many blunders?

The Govt is still "monitoring" their Ministers' pay. Since 2024 is round the corner, CCS will advise Sinkies to "move on" instead of dwelling on their humongous pay.
