The government causes the downfall of Singapore.

Why do they want to be paid so much money?  They can't take it with them once they die. When ordinary S'poreans see our politicians unwilling to serve the public unless they are paid a king's ransom, of course the people will become materialistic as well.  After all, they are only following in the example of our leaders.
