Muslim who takes alcohol are non practicing and ignorant.However if you compare with your religion it is a minority.


O you who believe, do not approach the  prayers while you are intoxicated until you know what you are saying. Quran 4:43

O you who believe, intoxicants, gambling, altars and arrows of chance are afflictions that are the work of the devil, so 'ijtanibuhu' (stay away from him) so that you may succeed. Quran 5:90

They ask you about intoxicants and gambling, say, "In them are gross sins and benefits for the people, and their sinfulness is greater than their benefits." Quran 2:219 

Say, "My Lord has only prohibited immoralities, what is apparent of them and what is concealed, and the sins." Quran 7:33
