Actually red wine is considered a part of fine dine and wine. You'd be a laughing stock if you order certain Western food and ask for a Coke or coffee. 

Of course you don't drink till you are drunk but peepur who have had red wine with their meals since young have a decent tolerance. They can drink a glass or two and still stay sober.
