He is long suffering, not willing that any should die but that all would repent and be saved..

God has his timing and when it's time for the prophecy to be fulfilled, it will come to pass. God's ways are not my ways. 

If God is going to smack the false preachers, He would also be smacking the false religions which means that a lot of peepur would be lying flat in the streets right nao. 

Maybe you have a private resentment toward Christianity because of the story of Sodom and Gomorrah. I can understand.
