America has too many crimes until the law enforcer gave up. Under Proposition 47, stealing goods worth less than $950 does not count as felony but misdemeanor. Cops say it has become a common sight in San Francisco, as the new law has emboldened criminals rather than making it safe for the general public

The real losers are honest consumers who end up paying higher prices for goods as businesses try to recover the cost of stolen merchandise. In the near future, shopping malls in the US would be full of empty stores as retailers go fully online.
