KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 17 — Residents of Nenggiri town, a state seat now controlled in Kelantan has With a total of just 20,259 registered voters.

Mohd Azizi was one of six Bersatu MPs to switch their political loyalties, which resulted in their expulsion from PAS party. B'cos Malaysia now has an anti-party hopping clause, Kelantan State Assembly Speaker Datuk Mohd Amar Nik Abdullah declared then, so Nenggiri state seat is vacant on June 19, triggering need for a by-election within 60 days of the Election Commission being formally notified.

Perikatan Nasional’s defeat in Nenggiri was also its worst by-election performance since the 15th general election. This show Anwar PKR party and UNMO party can take the PAS ground in Kelantan.
