Vice President Kamala Harris formally accepted the Democratic Party's presidential nomination in Chicago on Thursday, delivering a forceful speech that laid out her vision for the country warning about possibility of former President Donald Trump returning to White House. Capping off the 4th final day of Democratic National Convention, Harris recited her life story background b4 directly taking on Trump & laying out her position several hot-button issues, like war in Gaza, immigration, abortion and more.
"I promise to be a president for all Americans. You can always trust to put country above party & self, to hold sacred America's fundamental principles, from rule of law, to free & fair elections, peaceful transfer of power," she said. She called Trump an "unserious man," but said "the consequences of putting him back in White House are extremely serious.""Imagine Trump with no guardrails, how he would use immense powers of presidency of US — not to improve your life, not to strengthen our national security — but to serve only client he has ever had: himself," she said.
