Opinion: Anwar's Merdeka Address foreshadows what we can expect in the Anwar-Muhyiddin Tussle. Just a few weeks ago Anwar was on top of the world. The campaign for Nenggiri, which he had won, portended a good omen for his reign. That he had managed to win in the PN stronghold, and that too decisively, indicated that the Green Wave that had been thrashing against his rule almost from the moment he sat on the throne was finally abating. That his chief opponent, Muhyiddin, the leader of the PN, was not even able to defend a constituency in Kelantan, an opposition stronghold, meant that it was only a matter of time before Muhyiddin was put to pasture.
