There's always good and sides to policy, but history has shown that carrying things to the extreme always ends up in a diasaster.
Is allowing rich foreigners to come in bad or good? I'm not too sure. But never believe in our govt when they said that because of the loggerheads between China and US our economy is badly affected. In fact, the reverse is true - because of the conflict, we have grown richer.
Many Chinese companies now set up base in Singapore to avoid being sanctioned by US. Take a look at SWC global. It is headquartered in Spore but you know what, its parent company is set up by Lei Jun, the founder of Xiaomi. It invests mainly in India and Indonesia.
