Looks like situation in Singapore isn't that easy anymore....
Over here in Taiwan, Taipei expenditure has risen while in Kaohsiung situations are better.

Cooking is a skill which one need to master a lot of times so end up also will have people just go out eat and settle their meals.

One freaking fried Hay Mee in a coffee shop upped its price from $5 to $5.50.
After taking order then said $5.50 .
Used to be crowded, now deserted, likely people are boycotting for the drastic increase.
Some stalls still selling at $4 and just as good .
Matter of the hawker wanting to earn more or less.

Sadly surely that one sell at 4 will increase price too who knows , all like set a " standard price "

CDC vouchers value too small, must give $200 per person instead of $100 per household.

Not ony hawker food. Mkt produce from veg to fruits , eggs , staples etc everything up by at least 50 cents, at least a whopping 20 % increase overnight. Amy got many eggs Koh still want to charge us 20 cents /plastic bag.

Satellite ERP where vehicles will be charged (every 500m like cab?) when traffic starts to jam.
It will jack up transport cost and all goods that needs physical delivery.
Most street lamp posts have already been replaced for this new ERP - the new lamp has a flatter design and comes with a "bump" on top.

hawker food is still cheap. the landlord will be utilmate winner as they will up rental after the successful price up by hawker.
hawker will pay if still can make money with the new price. nothing new. just keep repeating like groundhog day.
