The increase in the new cases rises recently is just after we introduced the new rule about Antigen Rapid Test or the ART test. Unfortunately, MOH has never explained why such a sudden increase. Suspected there is a link. It is not because ART is not accurate. This is because the new cases are always confirmed by following up PCR testing.
The only explanation for the increase is suspected to be the rising awareness of the community, flushing out a lot of hidden cases, that otherwise go unnoticed, spreading across the community without hindrance. When that happen, we could never ever arrest Covid no matter how much we do.
In the past, we have only PCR testing. This process is tedious and time-consuming. Many people dislike unless being forced to. This is why they introduced ART. It is likely those who felt unwell will want to test themselves. First, try try. Once they tested positive, they "kancheong" and go for PCR testing immediately. This is how they can flush out those hidden cases.
