Once I bought quite a number of items at a Convenience Store in Taipei, by the time I make payment at the counter, I was told they dunt provide plastic bags, if I want a bag, they only have paper bag and it is chargeable.

That happened 10 years ago, Taiwan is ahead of Spore by so many years. In Spore people still debate if it should be chargeable and by how much.
