This sounds more like a cheap symbolic attempt to boost Ukrainian and Eastern European spirits to continue to drag out the war as long as possible without actually committing to anything.

If the US is serious about helping Ukraine to win the war, it would have given Ukraine their most advanced non-nuclear weapons, not send a few thousand infantrymen to Eastern Europe far away from the frontline. This does nothing tangible to military operations.

Seems like Biden is trying to have it both ways – there is increasing opposition within US now to this blank cheque approach to Ukraine and thus we are now starting to see rhetoric from various US officials to temper aid expectations.

The US is slowly transitioning from providing all out support to the Ukrainians to a more measured approach of giving them just enough to keep them going while performing multiple high profile but meaningless gestures for maximum PR exposure. The idea is to keep the war at medium intensity as long as possible at the lowest cost to the Americans.

Actually 101 Airborne was already inside Ukraine, they shot down many Russian fighter jets using missiles and there were even photo shots of them on the ground.

Important that Russia don't win this war to serve as a lesson to all countries that big cannot conquer small. Singapore as a small nation would be safe as we also need all the help we can get when in trouble.

Assuming that it is true the American troops intend to step into Ukraine - > Odessa (historically a very important Russian city)

Do they really think Russia will sit still and allow them to set up a US base 50km from Russian territory? Imagine Russia setting up a large milittary base in Cuba.

The 101 Airborne Division is a light infantry army that rely on large transport aircrafts to insert them into the battlefield, which will be within range of Russian S400 and rocket bombardment. The Russians will rain hell on them if they survive the airdrop.

The 101st has no good reason to be in Ukraine/Odessa except as sacrificial lambs to pull the American public into another war. Only this time they will not be fighting against some ragtag Arabs or Afghans.

West reporters had already captured them inside Ukraine, I saw a video clip of them, all these Russian fighters were shot down by them rather than Ukrainian soldiers, Russia is aware of this, what can they do? Attack the U.S. cities?

The 101st Airborne Division has not stepped into European soil in 45 years. If they step into Odessa, Russia can attack them.

Russia has run out of missiles, bombs and bullets, and the missiles fired were mostly inaccurate due to lousy chips used and hit civilian homes.

As for the U.S. weapons, not easy to use, must go thru 2 year training, so the U.S. soldiers are already inside helping Ukraine sink Russian battleships and shot down fighter jets with hand carry missiles with the help of Starlink.
