Looks like Spore won’t have HSR until most of the ASEAN countries complete their HSR projects.
HSR in Indonesia- Jakarta-Bandung completed, phase 2 (TBD)
HSR in Thailand (2 lines) - Work in Progress
HSR in Vietnam - Line between Vietnam and China is under construction and North South line will start before 2030

It is too expensive to build one what with all the under the table cost. Including maintenance cost by the amateur bummi companies, it may be cheaper to give tickets for the people to fly bet Sg and KL.

But consider Scythian said Thai have plans to link to land bridge
and recent rise in frequent air turbulence
perhaps we can consider Dr Mah once idea, slower thus cheaper speed rail
