I notice far prettier women on our streets who are probably too busy to participate in such beauty pageants which demand a lot of their time. Don't forget that some of those beautiful actresses/celebrities we see onscreen are products of cosmetic surgery, make-up, filters etc. so they are "fake" beauties. Lisa of Korean girl group, Blackpink is often referred to as a beauty, but old pics of her without make-up show her to be average at best, or even plain.

Actually moi think the main reason ish that the prizes and perks for winning such contests in red dot ish simply not attractive enough, so most sinkie bu don't really bother and felt it ish not really worth the public attentions for the miserable rewards. The same applies to our aspiring footballers. How to make a living from soccer in SG when it pays so little and retirement looms by a player's early 30s? In fact, a footballer is 1 tackle away from losing his livelihood. Imagine having to launch oneself into a new career in one's mid-30s having no previous work experience except as a pro player.
