Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today commenced his duty officially at Perdana Putra here.
His arrival at the main block of Bangunan Perdana Putra which housed the Prime Minister’s Office at about 9.55am was received by the Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Mohd Zuki Ali.
Also present were Public Service Department director-general Datuk Seri Mohd Shafiq Abdullah, Attorney-General Tan Sri Idrus Harun, Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani and Army Chief Gen Tan Sri Zamrose Mohd Zain.

KAJANG, Nov 24 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today stressed that his coalition government will uphold the tenets of the Federal Constitution, namely the status of the Bumiputera, the Malay language, the religion of Islam, and the Malay rulers.
He said that his proclamation was not merely a “campaign slogan” and promised that concrete action would be taken regarding the matter. We will not compromise on ensuring and recognising the rights, citizenship, and opportunities of every race, religion and region in this country,” he said during a press conference at the Sungai Long Golf and Country Club.
“No Malaysian should be left to feel that they are ignored in any way, none should be marginalised under my administration,” he added, as the audience here burst into applause

"God willing, we will swear in a new prime minister and this prime minister will not bring with him the corrupt and greedy cultures which we had before." he said.

To help offset higher costs of living for lower- to middle-income groups.
This "cost-of-living Special Payment" will reach 2.5 million eligible adult Singaporeans.

Universiti Sains Malaysia political science professor Ahmad Fauzi Abdul Hamid said
Anwar’s appointment as prime minister with the support of political rivals was a watershed moment that heralded a new era for Malaysian democracy.
"An epoch of cooperative rather than competitive party politics.
"With the ideological make-up of Malaysians becoming more pluralistic than ever, the days of one political bloc dominating over the rest is being phased out,” he said, adding that the new government must eventually prove itself workable in the long-run.
However, it remains to be seen.
The question is how long??????.

Malaysia will work together with Singapore to further elevate Malaysia-Singapore bilateral relations, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today.
Anwar said this in reply to Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong’s tweet on his appointment as the 10th Prime Minister of Malaysia.
“Thank you PM @leehsienloong for the telephone call and warm wishes. As close neighbours and partners in ASEAN, Malaysia and Singapore also share many commonalities, intertwined history and very close and active people-to-people connections.
“I look forward to meeting you at the earliest opportunity and working together to further elevate Malaysia-Singapore bilateral relations,” Anwar tweeted.

I think our leaders see that being friendly with Anwar is an important gesture, and that they may gain from Malaysia, be it in economy or political landscape........

Actually if you put like this, he waited 20++ years to be PM
endure so many things etc now finally become PM.
I doubt he will screw up in fact will make it better for MY.
