This was the plot bordered by Market St (left), Cecil St (right) and Cross St (rear).
The single storey block on the left the square windows should be the staff quarters of the former Telok Ayer police station.
Latter was demolished to make way for the former Market St carpark that was later built on this plot of land in the mid to late 1960s.

A 1910s or 20s photo of the same plot, with Lau Pa Sat being visible.
I believe the small round ("black") building at the centre should be a British-era public toilet.
