It's great that you managed to grow it. Mine didn't.
What other plants do you grow? How do you deal with pests?

How do you deal with pests? I've a problem with ants nowadays. As a Buddhist I didn't want to kill them but they're bringing a lot of harm to my plants.

Yah, that's the dilemma. To live in this world and not cause any harm to any sentient beings is tough.

It is hard. Just do your best. I still kill mosquitoes and cockroaches. I kill white flies on my plants also. I am also expert in exterminating termites. But I do not touch like centipedes, lizards, millipedes.

I think u try to buy from wet market. Those from supermarket fridge the bags has holes they may be there for very long and too dry up to survive in soil. Also after your bring back, keep in the fridge the uneaten ones in a sealed bag that has moisture inside.

The Chinese parsley in the plastic bag refrigerated is still alive. That says a lot of things about what is needed to keep them alive.
