The lesson is that you only trade with those countries that are on friendly terms with you. Singapore mainly buy military equipment from them.

Most Asian countries trade volume depend on MNC investments export to US..
That's why the huge surplus in trading with US.
Viet, Thai and Malaysia
And US uses to be a friendly trading partner to Asia. But not anymore 🤣
