Deterrence failed and China struck first, according to officials briefed on the wargame, which was organized by the House Select Committee on China. The simulation found that China’s military would suffer heavy losses during the month-long fight but would be able to implant its invading forces inside Taiwan—even with U.S. forces aiding the island. While the American military sunk around 80 Chinese naval vessels during the course of the exercise, the Chinese military "was able to gain a lodgment with about 80,000 troops on Taiwan," a source close to the committee who was briefed on the scenario told the Washington Free Beacon.

I think PLA longer term goals is not just Taiwan. Taiwan is just short term goal.

Longer term is clearing out USA forces out of Asia. Meaning Japan, SK and Philippines and SG too.

I think most learned US experts already concluded that many years ago.

This war games simulation is probably organized by certain high ranking members of the Biden Administration or the military top brass to educate many of these ignorant congressmen how unrealistic their notions of American military superiority are.

The propensity of these jokers to escalate thrash talking and pass silly domestic anti-China bills is getting out of hand and the adults need to get in outside experts to knock some sense into their thick skulls.

The Americans have no stomach for a long-drawn war and only resorts to pawning second hand hardware to their so-called allies who are doing the actual fighting. More dollars earned for the industrial-military complex.
