I tried using both Singapore IP and China VPN, seems I'm not one of the "lucky" ones with access on landing page.
Having said that, this SCMP article is very poorly written - there's no report on the actual user experience other than a vague description on how it failed to answer one particular question correctly. It then devotes most of the space regurgitating how tech companies thread a fine line between government and customer demand which is just a rehash of a similar article SCMP did just one month ago.
Then it brings up a few competitors who have launched their own AI chat bot as well, but again gives no insight and user experience over how these other alternatives fare.
Overall, I get the sense the reporter, Coco Feng, doesn't have any real material to fan out in a properly sized news article and is just writing for the sake of meeting a company quota.
