TS really is nothing to do must stir shit.

Who cares where Bak Kut Teh or any food originated from, when the more important question is who does the best tasting food in question regardless of where they are located?

TS and egoistic Sinkies can claim all sorts of regional Asian food originated from Singapore. But it will not change the fact that these food dishes will never taste as good in SG as they do in our neighbouring countries, because in SG taste gets sacrificed for minimal gains in "healthiness". In SG everything also cannot use, no MSG no lard no sugar no salt nothing that gives food FLAVOUR.

This wumao TS is like the Tiongs from Mainland China bragging about how they were the ones to invent gunpowder, even though it is the superior Caucasian Western racial civilisation that truly improved on and weaponised gunpowder to make guns and cannons to conquer the world with.  Rotfl  Rotfl

The poor invented the soup bak kut teh

While the rich eat the meat, the leftover bone parts become food for the poor

Sama sama the kueh chap came from leftover intestines

Sama sama curry fish head came from the throwaway part of the fish the poor invented

The poor added in discarded expired herbs soya sauce curry to taste

Doesn't matter anymore. Most if not all the bak ku teh in red dot already mutated into white\clear color pepper water while most if not all bak ku teh in boleh land mutated into dark color claypot pepper water.

The last time moi having an authenticated bak ku teh that taste like herb teh ish like more than 2 decades ago. But that stall after the next geneeration take over also become claypot pepper water liao. Sad

There was a time when the country asked ordinary men to do extraordinary things.

But now, they'll only do it for money.
