Manpower Minister Josephine Teo told Parliament..

"Of those who received payouts, 74% had monthly payouts under $500.  The average monthly payouts differs greatly across the generations; the average monthly payout for CPF members aged 65 to 69 is more than double that of members aged 80 to 87.

CPF has always been a cheap source of funding for govt lah. They then take the risk and gamble via swf. Earn money pay bonus, lose money up min sum, retirement age, HDB prices, invalid nominees, print money etc etc. Give to another country another govt if they can do it they will all do so .. USA got 401, almost every country also have something similar lah...

This world is owned by the rich, everyone else is just there to keep things going for the rich..

From Straits Times-

The announcements in the Rally also did not deal with the major issue of protecting CPF Life retirement income from inflation. CPF Life is a national annuity scheme available to CPF members when they turn 55, which promises a monthly payout of about $1,200 from age 65 for life, for those who meet the current Minimum Sum in cash.

A monthly payment of $1,200 would be barely enough to offer households even subsistence level retirement living. Hence the urgent need to keep CPF Life income inflation-adjusted so that real purchasing power is maintained.

IN 2018, JoTeo says 460,000 pensioners age 65 and above collecting average CPF payout of $350.00 a month.

Crazy lah

As reported, 1% Singapore population owns 34% of Singapore total national wealth

PAP failed to manage the whole CPF

when it is their job as Ministers

So they had to force elderly in Buy Back HDB Scheme

to top up the CPF that failed

2018, CPF Savings was bigger than GIC and Temasek AuM, yet investments returns was the lowest in comparison to 2 SWFs.

"Ho Ching claims investment returns by GIC, MAS, and Temasek are the “single largest contributor to SG budget” more than income tax or GST"

"Although CPF Savings was much larger than GIC and Temasek, they provided CPF members Savings the lowest priority and least return.

Among the three, CPF members only received  the least  insignificant token."

.

There's no room for CPF Board of Directors and management to keep pretending any further.

They have done a disservice to us and our hard earned savings, and a lousy job for past 65 years.
