Everyone has their own take on this

But Malaysia should not try to be like Singapore but evolve a sustainable system and society.

A few decades  from now most Singaporeans and their families will be replaced by imports and new citizens. It is a mathematical certainty given Singaporean birth rate is lowest in the world. This is the price paid for the type of economy Singapore has.

Does Malaysia want the same?

Singapore model is an all out high growth one but eventually it leads to most family lines vanishing as a result due to high stress, high cost and high inequality

Mai la.
Don't every day compare here and there.

Skali Malaysian angry again, claim we think we're better. Actually we are not. Lol

Malaysia is bigger than Singapore. Period. They are richer in many areas. Should compare with Thailand, Vietnam...

Earlier days, those from the English schools could speak and write English fluently.
But along the way, the standard got worse.
Lately, I spoke to some youngsters, but was unbelievable that some can't even speak a proper sentence.
They put too much concentration in Religious study instead.

They should catch up with the aborigines in Sarawak and Sabah. At least they are more progressive than Kelantanese which only know how to catch people wearing shorts, holding hands, never wear turban, etc

Ya la..
That's why don't compare with Singapore. Totally irrelevant.

Compare with Viet, Thai or the Taiwanese. Size, resources on par.

Ah M say Thais, Viet and Taiwanese only use 1 language. 1 people.
No more multi-racial.
Malaysia 1 race will prosper become leading economy. Soon country GPD hit USD 1 trillion. Cheers!!!

Can forget about Singapore.

The political system can only be in Muslim hands - then non-Malays would be regarded as “dhimmi”, meaning non-Muslims residing in an Islamic state.

Now they are surging such idealism. More minority into parliament is not possible. Only escalate their fears, in coming true. Being overrule by the minority.

PAS mantra that Malaysia must be under the rule of Islam and Malays, and that the non-Malays must never hold political sway.

Therefore Singapore is definitely not the model for Malaysia. Anyway, we are just a island nation. Too small for their appetite.
